Abstract: Based on air temperature of two automatic stations from December 2004 to February 2009, the local microclimate characteristics near Tai Lake were analyzed. The results indicate that the local microclimate characteristics near Tai Lake are obvious. Annual, seasonal, monthly and different period’s average air temperatures near Tai Lake are lower than those in the adjacent regions. The characteristics of air temperature are different under different weather conditions such as sunny days, rainy days or other special weathers. Air temperature near Tai Lake is lower under sunny day. It is higher under rainy days in spring, summer and autumn, while it is lower in winter. Air temperature near Tai Lake is lower than those in the adjacent regions under high temperature and snowstorm weather, while variation range of air temperature is of large difference. Air temperature near Tai Lake is sometimes high or sometimes low under cold wave weather.
