Abstract:
Considering the effect of the surrounding objects of the evaluation target on direct lightning strike frequency of evaluation target, the location factor (Cd) was applied to the lightning strike risk evaluation. If Cd value is not true, the evaluation result will be the larger error. According to the heights of the surrounding objects and evaluation target as well as the distance of both, the maximum detour lightning current (Im) was calculated by electric-geometric model. The probability of lightning current (P) more than Im was calculated, and the value of (1-P) was determined as location factor.
