Abstract:
Based on air temperature and precipitation data from 4 weather stations, the climatic characteristics were analyzed by the linear trend estimation method, the Mann-Kendall test method and the accumulative anomaly method in Benxi area from1958 to 2009. The results show that the mean air temperatures in spring, autumn and winter, together with the mean annual air temperature are the obvious increasing trend in the recent 52 a in Benxi region. Summer air temperature is also the increasing trend, while not significant. Precipitation in spring and winter increases weakly, while decreases in summer and autumn. Annual precipitation is also the decreasing trend. An abrupt change of the mean annual air temperature occurs in the late 1980s, so are the seasonal air temperatures. At the same time, it becomes the obvious warming period in Benxi region after 1980s. There is not an obvious abrupt change for precipitation.
