Abstract: Thunder and lightning monitoring and location system in Shenyang was introduced,including four thunder and lightning stations,one data processing center,many display terminals and communication network.Some thunder and lightning parameters such as time,position,intensity,polarity of thunder strike could be obtained quickly by this system.Aimed at some technology problems in practice,the solutions were pointed out.Some system installation problems such as network layout,monitoring network information transmission and various terminal accesses ways were also indicated.And work principles,system functions and applied conditions of thunder and lightning monitoring and location system were expounded.
