Application of data envelopment analysis in strategic assessment of Liaoning coastal economic belt

In order to evaluate the development and construction of Liaoning costal economic belt, the assessment on port-city’s integration was quantified based on data envelopment analysis (DEA). The results indicate that Jinzhou belongs to “double-effective city”, Dandong and Panjin belong to “double-invalid city”, Yingkou is “port effective city”, and Dalian and Huludao are “city-effective city”. According to the quantitative results, the countermeasures are put forward such as the port overall planning, urban development by costal industry, the port-city’s sustainable development and so on.
