In order to further enhance the publication quality, "Journal of Meteorology and Environment" held its 2023 Editorial Committee Meeting. The meeting focused on discussions regarding the journal's current developmental status, future planning, and strategies for achieving high-quality growth. Chen Huailiang, the Director of the Liaoning Provincial Meteorological Bureau and an advisory editor for the journal, attended the meeting and gave a welcome speech.
At the meeting, the Editor-in-Chief Chen Liqiang presented reports on the editorial work, the development of the journal, and current challenges. The Editorial Committee's charter for "Journal of Meteorology and Environment" was reviewed. The committee also selected outstanding papers from the journal for recognition. In-depth discussions were held by the attending committee members on how to attract high-quality manuscript submissions, methods, and strategies to increase the journal's publicity, refinement of the journal's immediate and long-term development goals, and how to further enhance the role of the editorial committee.
Following the meeting, the editorial department compiled a summary of the numerous recommendations from the committee. The convening of this meeting underscored the shared goal and responsibility of the Editorial Committee for the high-quality development of "Journal of Meteorology and Environment," which strives to become an even more influential and significant academic platform within the field.
