To enhance the influence of the Journal of Meteorology and Environment and promote its high-quality development, as well as to leverage the potential of young scientific and technological workers, the Journal of Meteorology and Environment for the first time openly recruited members for its youth editorial committee from both within China and internationally between September and December 2023. This recruitment effort received an enthusiastic response, with 104 applications from outstanding young scholars around the world, all of whom have made significant achievements in their respective fields of research. Following a strict selection process, including comprehensive research and assessment, the Journal of Meteorology and Environment determined the list of members for its first youth editorial committee based on a principle of selecting the best among the best, totaling 60 members. Young scholars who were not selected have been included in the external expert reviewer database, with future opportunities still available to become part of the youth editorial team. The Journal of Meteorology and Environment will actively invite members of the first youth editorial committee to participate in various aspects of the editorial department's work, aiming to build consensus and collaboratively push the journal to higher levels of development.（List of members of the first youth editorial committee of the Journal of Meteorology and Environment）
