准噶尔盆地南缘一次强对流风暴雷达回波演变特征

Radar echo evolvement characteristics of a severe convective storm in the south edge of Junggar basin, China

摘要: 利用Doppler雷达产品、结合常规观测资料对2008年7月25日中国准噶尔盆地南缘冰雹、强降水的雷达回波结构演变特征进行分析。结果表明:此次冰雹、强降水天气过程发生在西伯利亚至巴尔喀什湖冷槽东南象限的对流不稳定层结中,近低层至地面有中尺度辐合切变线。该强风暴的演变可归结为“逗点回波—“人”字形回波—螺旋形回波”三个阶段,相应径向速度图上出现“逆风区”、中气旋和辐合区;冰雹的雷达回波强度中心值超过65dBz,60dBz回波顶高为5.5km、65dBz回波顶高为3km,垂直累积液态含水量由10kg•m-2跃增到70kg•m-2;强降水的雷达回波强度中心值达60dBz、55dBz回波顶高为3.7km、60dBz回波顶高为2.2km、垂直累积液态含水量由15kg•m-2增加到55kg•m-2。Doppler雷达产品对冰雹、强降水天气监测预警具有重要的指示意义。

Abstract: Radar echo evolvement characteristics of a hailstone and severe rainstorm process on July 25, 2008 were analyzed in the south edge of Junggar basin based on Doppler radar weather data and conventional observational data. The results indicate that this process occurs in convective instability stratification from Siberian to cold trough of the southeastern Balkhash Lake. There is mesoscale convergence shear line from low layer to ground. The evolvement of this severe rainstorm could be divided into three phases, i.e. comma echo, “人” shape echo and spiral echo, and they are corresponding with adverse wind area, mesoscale cyclone and convergence region in terms of radial velocity distribution. Radar echo intensity central value of hailstone exceeds 65 dBz. Echo tops (ETOP) of 60 dBz and 65 dBz are 5.5 km and 3 km, respectively. Vertically integrated liquid water content increases from 10 kg•m-2 to 70 kg•m-2. Radar echo intensity central value of severe rainstorm exceeds 60 dBz. ETOP of 55 dBz and 60 dBz are 3.7 km and 2.2 km, respectively. Vertically integrated liquid water content increases from 15 kg•m-2 to 55 kg•m-2. Doppler radar products are indicative of monitoring, forecasting and warning of hailstone and severe rainstorm.
