Radar echo evolution of adverse wind area in a local heavy rain process in Shenyang, Liaoning province

摘要: 利用沈阳CINRAD/SA多普勒天气雷达观测资料及加密自动站资料等,对2009年7月11日发生在沈阳西部的中尺度大暴雨天气过程进行分析。结果表明: 雷达1.5°仰角PPI图上有逆风区存在,逆风区出现的时间要比强降水出现的时间早10 min以上,强降水区与逆风区、强回波区、VIL值的大值区有很好的对应关系,逆风区的出现对强对流天气的预报预警有指示作用。

Abstract: Based on CINRAD/SA Doppler weather radar data and intensive automatic meteorological station data, the local heavy rain process on July 11, 2009 in the western Shenyang was analyzed. The results show that the adverse wind area appears in a plan-position indicator system (PPI) chart of Doppler radar with 1.5°elevation angle, and its occurrence time is ahead of 10 minutes or more than that of the heavy rain. The heavy rain area has a better corresponding relationship with the adverse wind area, strong radar echo area, large value area of vertical integrated liquid (VIL). The adverse wind area is of indicative for prediction and warning of severe convective weather.
